Hangover 3: Ed Helms Rules Out The Possibility Of A Third Edition

He cites that the director Todd Philips won’t let that happen. ‘The Hangover’ that hit theatres in 2009 made all the right noises delighting both the critics and masses and rattling the box office to rake in a whopping $467 million worldwide. The film also won a Golden Globe award for Best Picture- Musical or Comedy. It starred Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha, Zach Galifianakis and Heather Graham in lead roles and was hugely successful.
Currently, the 2nd part is being filmed which shall see the protagonist characters ram into Thailand for a wedding. However, when quizzed about the 3rd part, Ed Helms vehemently denied any such possibility maintaining that director Todd Philips won’t permit that.
Speaking to Los Angeles Times, Helms stated that he doubts if they would see the 3rd installment as Todd is unlikely to go for it. Helms also stated that he hoped The Hangover has a dignified legacy.
Fans need not be disheartened since this is just a personal remark from Helms. Who knows we may get to see more of Hangover films in years to come! We just hope that the bosses won’t dilute the quality to push up the quantity.
