Dec.13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The main attractions of the Spike Video Game Awards that took place yesterday were the updates on upcoming and much anticipated games like Arkham Asylum 2 and the trailer of Halo Reach. The first preview of the game in the form of the trailer did not cover game play. However, it offers the viewers some basic idea about the backdrop and ambiance of the game. As a mater of fact, Halo Reach has been designed and made as a prequel to the original halo series. In this game, the players have to don the hat of Spartan III and need to safeguard the planet named Reach along with the Noble Squad. The game is likely to be commercially available from 2010.

The Halo series of video games that Microsoft makes for its Xbox gaming console has been a hit with the gamers since its inception a few years back. Originally it was made exclusively for the Xbox but its growing popularity prompted Microsoft to release PC versions later as well. It is considered among the most popular FPS video games nowadays. The setting of the upcoming game is set before the events in the game Halo: Combat Evolved occur.

The latest trailer of the game shows that the biggest military production of humanity named Colony Reach is under the attack of an alien force. Halo: Reach was announced for the first time in June this year during the E3 2009 press conference of Microsoft. Reach is going to be the last game in the Halo series developed by Bungie.
