Hallelujah, its raining men: Bachelorette Jillian backMay 19th, 2009 - 7:06 pm ICT by GD
When it rains, it pours. That certainly seems to be the case with Jillian Harris, second runner-up in the last season (season 13) of reality show “The Bachelor”.
Vying for the affections of Jason Mesnik, a single dad from Seattle, among a host of other beautiful contestants, Jillian’s quest for love fell short of recreating what could have been the classic contemporary version of the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan starrer all time favorite, “Sleepless in Seattle”. Beaten out of the race by the gorgeous Melissa Rycroft and Molly Malaney, Jillian seems to have the last laugh after all. Rather than wait around to be picked for love, she now gets to do the choosing herself.
Back with a bang, Jillian gets to be “The Bachelorette” this time around. Surrounded by her harem of 20 delectable men from diverse walks of life, ABC’s bachelorette is slotted to be spoilt for choice. Premiering on Monday night, (yesterday), the 5th season of “The Bachelorette” has already generated it’s share of interest and anticipation, with speculations running rife about th fortunes of the 20 men.
The young Canadian interior designer, Jillian, who has been variously described as “mature and deep” and “adept and rounded as well as funny, beautiful and laid back” by fans in the blog community, takes a journey in her quest to find love in this reality fairytale, not shying away from the prospect of having to kiss her share of frogs to finaly get to her prince charming. Shopping for the perfect deal in this hunk-fest, it ’s upto the viewers to wait and watch which package eventually goes in the pretty lady’s cart.
