Los Angeles, April 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Halle Berry’s custody battle continues. The actress recently turned down an offer to appear in what would have been her first Broadway appearance. The producers of the show announced that Berry will no longer be part of “The Mountaintop” musical which will also feature Samuel L. Jackson.

Berry is fighting for custody of her three-year-old daughter, Nahla. The girl is the child of the actress and Gabriel Aubry. Berry and the French-Canadian model officially ended their relationship in April of 2010. She is currently in a relationship with Olivier Martinez who she has been going out with since last fall.

The custody battle has been going on for some time now. The actress has previously side-stepped a project before because of the custody battle. Berry announced that she would have to drop out of the casts of Gary Marshall’s romantic comedy “New Year’s Eve.” She later rejoined the cast in February. The movie is currently being filmed but Berry will not be playing the role that she was originally assigned. That role has been given to Katherine Heigl. Berry’s new role in the movie is that of a nurse.
