Halle Berry is multitasking with two roles- that of an actress and that of a mother, and she is doing both with equal expertise. However, the year did not start on a good note for the actress. Her former beau, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, had filed court documents last year in December for the joint legal and physical custody of their two-year-old daughter, Nahla. Gabriel Aubrey had earlier filed legal documents at the beginning of the New Year, where he declared himself as the father of the two-and-a half-year-old Nahla. In the new documents filed, the Canadian model reportedly wants joint physical and legal custody of his daughter as reported by the sources.

With Gabriel Aubry filing legal papers to be officially recognized as Nahla’s father, it seems like Halle Berry could have to gear up for a custody battle. When Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry publicly announced their split last spring, the couple was reported to have had an amicable separation. The “Dark Tide” star rubbished all the rumors and the lies that spread after the couple got separated. In an interview given to a leading magazine, the actress said that there was no truth to any of the words of mouth that got spread. She said that all the allegations of that time were false. She said that there was no discord, or fighting and things are all the same with only one difference that the couple are living apart and raising their daughter.

Halle Berry, gave birth to Nahla in 2008 after she and Gabriel Aubry dated or about two years. The former couple split after being together for five years just because, according to sources, Gabriel Aubry “felt it wasn’t working anymore”. It could be presumed that the battle is going on over the custody of the baby, would be in the interest if the kid and not the parents.
