Gwyneth Paltrow joins Twitter
June 2nd, 2011 - 8:02 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Gwyneth Paltrow has finally joined Twitter. The 38-year-old have been posting tips on her “positive” lifestyle teaching on her website but she joined Twitter and Facebook to get in touch with more audience.
Shortly after creating the account, Paltrow sent, “This is my first Tweet!” She has already got 38,000 followers on Twitter with her Facebook page receiving 54,000 “likes.” Paltrow is hoping that her Facebook and Twitter pages will do better than her website.
In 2008, the actress launched her website GOOP and indicated that she will use the website to teach about how to live positively. Instead of getting praise for the work, Paltrow have often been mocked and criticized for some of the advice that she offers on her website.
When she launched the website, Paltrow said then that, “Because I felt like I had a lot of really useful information that I was privileged enough to get, because I have this amazing, super, fortunate life.”
That tone changed when she started receiving criticism. She admitted in a magazine interview that the criticism have sometimes caused her to consider stopping the project. She said she kept doing it because she felt she was doing the right thing.
