Gwyneth Paltrow Los Angeles, Jan 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems Robert Downey Jr. has something to offer Gwyneth Paltrow after all.

When Paltrow was offered her new role in the new movie, “Country Strong”, she claimed that she was looking for the drug addict mentality that goes with the role that she had.

She searched for quite some time before she found that help in Robert Downey Jr. who had been her friend for a long time. Downey has a very nasty history with drug addiction. The star managed to battle his way out of addiction. The period was arguably the darkest in his life because he was incarcerated in prison and embarrassed himself with some insane behavior that threatened to end his career. Fortunately though, he survived and is the lead character of one of the most successful movie franchise in the world today, the Ironman.

Downey’s story is often portrayed as one of the few addicts who are able to rise above their state and have a wholesome life again.

Paltrow revealed that she enjoyed her role so much. She said that, “I loved playing a woman who was feeling her age, and worried about the young twenty-something coming up and stealing her thunder.”
