London, Dec 14 (IANS) British director Guy Ritchie is planning to open a pub in New York on the advice of his American actor friends who are regular at his London bar, the Punch Bowl.
Ritchie’s London drinking haunt the Punch Bowl has become a popular destination for actors and pop stars and he is confident he could turn it into a global chain with the first new venue being opened in New York, reported contactmusic.com

“Guy spends a lot of time there with American actors when they’re in London for premieres or for shoots. They all reckon he could branch out and make the pub a global brand. Guy sees the potential,” said a source.

The director received the pub as part of his divorce settlement from ex-wife Madonna in 2008.
