Gustavo Dudamel Announces US Program On 60 Minutes

Los Angeles, May 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Gustavo Dudamel, the king of classical music at the age of only 29, has added yet another feather to his cap, he now has the Los Angeles Philharmonic to his name. The internationally acclaimed musician gives all the credit to his huge success at such an early age to his native country Venezuela.
Speaking to correspondent Bob Simon of “60 Minutes”, Gustavo Dudamel says that the program in Venezuela has changed not only his life but also the lives of all the children involved in the venture in a big way. The music icon now has plans to launch “El Sistema” or “The System” in the United States as well. Known as the best and most energetic conductor in the world, it was a very special moment in the life of Gustavo Dudamel when “60 Minutes” arrived to his place to conduct an interview. It was the first day of practice as the music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
At the age of 29 Gustavo Dudamel has become something of an inspiration to the other musicians. Not only age, it is the quality of the music that he produces which makes him stand out from the crowd of musicians in the world today. As the maestro himself says in his talk with “60 Minutes” that he not only considers music his profession, music is the reason for which he lives. It is more important to him than food or water. Gustavo Dudamel is now in Los Angeles promoting his musical venture in the US. He feels that LA will help him to reach out to a large number of people across the country.
