Gurkha champ Joanna Lumley polled UK’s Fav Female Celeb to be PM

London, May 22 (ANI): Gurkha campaigner Joanna Lumley has been named as the favourite female celebrity that voters would like to see becoming the Prime Minister of Britain, according to a new poll.

Lumley emerged as the frontrunner for the top post in the female category with 20 per cent votes in her favour in the poll headed by MSN Entertainment.

But it was The X Factor judge Simon Cowell who was tagged as the favourite man for the job with 21 per cent votes, reports the Sky News.

Respected news broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald came in third with 17 per cent votes, followed by DJ Chris Moyles’ 9 per cent.

Singer Cheryl Cole and controversial comedian Russell Brand shared the fifth spot by gathering eight per cent votes each.
