Los Angeles, Aug 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Guns N’Roses fans can breath easy now. There was a message posted on the popular social networking and microblogging site Twitter that, all their upcoming gigs now stand cancelled. This caused a furor amongst their fans and esp. all those who had bought tickets for their upcoming shows. But now everyone can heave a sigh of relief as Axl Rose’s Twitter account was hacked and the message was a hoax.

The band intends to play in the Belfast Odyssey on the 31st of August and in Dublin on the 1st of September. The shows would be held as per schedule, according to the band’s manager. They also added that the fans needn’t despair because of the prank of the hackers.

Festival Republic released a statement that, “(We) are informed by GN’R management that Guns N’ Roses have NOT cancelled their performances at Reading & Leeds and that Axl Rose’s Twitter account was hacked into and all claims of dates being cancelled are unfounded.”

As part of their upcoming tours, Guns N’Roses is going to play in the cities of London, Birmingham and Manchester in October. They are also going to have some concerts in Europe after that.
