Guns N’ Roses upcoming gig not axed
August 17th, 2010 - 4:15 pm ICT by ANILondon, Aug 17 (ANI): The management team for Guns n’ Roses has denied reports that the band has cancelled their upcoming gigs after a hacker posted a fake message on Axl Rose’s Twitter page.
According to The Daily Express, the message “All upcoming Guns N’ Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds,” on Twitter left fans stunned.
But the band’s representative clarified the speculation insisting the message was not genuine and planned tour dates in the autumn (10), as well as slots at the upcoming Reading and Leeds festivals, will go ahead as planned.
“(We) are informed by GN’R management that Guns N’ Roses have NOT cancelled their performances at Reading & Leeds and that Axl Rose’s Twitter account was hacked into and all claims of dates being cancelled are unfounded,” said a spokesperson for the events’ organisers Festival Republic. (ANI)
