Salvador, Feb 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The second show of the “I Am..” world tour of pop diva Beyonce Knowles came to an unexpected end, reportedly. Toward the end of the concert, some gunmen started to fire at the huge number of fans assembled at the venue. The world tour was kicked off in South America, with Brazil being the first venue. Quite a number of shows have been scheduled to take place in Brazil. The concert where the incident took place was being held in the city of Salvador, in the Parque de Exposicoes Stadium.
Reports suggest that the incident had taken place after the show had come to an end. Apparently, a gang, composed mostly of teenagers, had been waiting outside the Parque de Exposicoes Stadium, possibly with the intention of targeting the audience that had come to watch the show. As the audience began streaming out of the hall, the police allegedly opened fire at the gang, who in turn began to shoot back. According to the reports, the crowd had to run for cover. The report also states that no casualties had been registered despite the random firing. However, it is not certain which party had first opened fire.
However, this report, which had been picked up by a number of dailies, was emphatically denied by a spokesperson for Beyonce Knowles. The spokesperson commented that no such incident had taken place. The representative was emphatic in the denial of the report, commenting that the concert of Salvador was an immensely successful one and that it had passed by without any untoward incident.
