The 50 year old drummer Cindy is a member of the Santana band. Santana proposed to her after the drum solo of Blackman on the hit ‘Corazon Espinado’.

Blackman accepted the proposal of the 62 year old guitarist and they kissed each other on stage. The audience cheered on witnessing such a beautiful moment.

Santana said, “We are blessed to find each other. The spirit and vibration ensuing along with love is infinitely powerful. The feeling of being in love is a beautiful gift from the universe. I would try to express that powerful energy through the music.”

Currently, Santana is continuing with his Universal Tone Tour, which has already completed two months. Santana is now preparing for his upcoming solo album titled, ‘Guitar Heaven: Santana Performs the Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time’, which is set to release on September 21. This is also going to be Santana’s first studio album in almost six years.

Cindy, a jazz and rock drummer, has recorded and toured with Lenny Kravitz. She has played with a large number of artists like Cassandra Wilson, Pharoah Sanders and Bill Laswell.

The couple has not made any announcements of their marriage yet. It is going to be the second marriage for Santana, who had divorced Deborah, his wife of 34 years in 2007.
