Guillermo del Toro to direct ‘Haunted Mansion’ in the 3D version

San Diego, July 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oscar winning director - Guillermo del Toro announced on Thursday that he will direct a new movie which would be a remake of ‘Haunted Mansion’. It ought to be mentioned that ‘Haunted Mansion’ is a classical Disney movie.

Del Toro announced that the movie would be a scary 3-D movie. The movie will depict the original Disneyland Haunted Mansion. Del Toro has been visiting the Disneyland Haunted Mansion since was he a mere 3 years old.

Del Toro said he goes on the pilgrimage and take a ride to refresh his mind. He even has a Haunted Mansion theme room at his house.

Del Toro made the announcement during San Diego’s annual pop culture convention at Comic-Con.

During the announcement, he said the movie would not be a comedy. He gave the first hint ever of who will be in the movie and who will not be. He said Eddy Murphy would not be featured in the movie. It ought to be mentioned that Eddy Murphy has featured in other movies that featured the popular ride at the Disneyland.

Del Toro described the upcoming film as a dream come true and he says he hopes to steal as many proposals as possible. The Comic-Con ended on Sunday at the San Diego Convention.
