Although ABC’s Lost, marked its 100th episode last week, and is gearing up for a series finale in May 2010 Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey’s Anatomy may not be expected to be making an end soon. Rhimes has told the Hollywood Reporter that she has no finish line or end date in mind: “I have no end story or date in mind at all… I just want us to tell stories as long as we feel it’s relevant.”

Grey’s Anatomy is to celebrates its 100th episode this week, thereby crossing the “century” mark. The episode is going to focus on the wedding of Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd, lovebirds since a long time. However it is unlikely that the marriage will not have its share of glitches. As with many a series, the creator of this very successful series now is almost clueless as to the direction the series might take. She confesses that though at one time she was very sure of her story line, the characters have assumed lives of their own and the personal and professional adventures of Mer, Der,

Cristina et al are moving to “a different place than I’d ever expected at the beginning.” She goes on to say that “We’re essentially working without a map… and have been for a little while now.” Grey’s fans will no doubt be hooked on to keep abreast of the latest happenings in this world. You can have your own ideas and thoughts of how the series should be progressing, but only time will tell whether your ideas match that of Rhimes.
