Berlanti will also co-write the script with Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, who works with the former as a writer-producer on ‘Brothers and Sisters’.

Known as the writer and executive producer of several character-driven TV series like ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ and ‘Everwood’, Berlanti previously directed 2000 feature ‘The Broken Hearts Club’.

According to Variety magazine, Warner Bros. and DC Comics have recruited Donald De Line to produce the movie.

De Line is currently in Morocco where he is shooting WB film ‘Body of Lies’ with director Ridley Scott. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

‘Green Lantern’, conceptualised in 1940, follows the life of a second-generation test pilot named Hal Jordan, an ordinary man who has been charged with defending a sector of the universe. (ANI)
