July 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The first look of the upcoming superhero flick “Green Lantern” have been made available in the web and one has to admit Ryan Reynolds whose playing the role of the protagonist looks superb in the attractive costume. However, the actor has said in a recent interview that no matter how sleek and eye catching he may look in the costumes the shooting of the film was not an easy experience for him. He even said that at time he felt that he would require using an adult diaper! The 33-year-old hunky actor had to do some really serious action stunts and not all of them, were shot on ground.

The “Proposal” actor plays the role of a superhero with a magical ring that gives him extraordinary powers. The director of the upcoming flick is Martin Campbell of “Casino Royale” fame. Apart from the stressful action scenes, the actor revealed to leading media source that the diet that he had to maintain was also not an easy one. He said that he could hardly eat what he liked and for the majority of the time he had to survive on food that he would not have taken otherwise. However, he is happy that the film is shopping up well and it will strengthen his foothold in the industry.

Ryan Reynolds has worked in superhero flicks before and knows that for acting in such films the actors have to sacrifice stuffs like food and leisure for some time. He earlier worked in the Hugh Jackman starrer ‘Wolverine’ and his portrayal of the character Deadpool received accolades from the viewers and critics alike.
