June 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After much anticipation the first official trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Green Hornet’ is out on the web and it is getting different reactions from the film veterans.

The movie has an impressive star cast for sure. The actors in this movie are Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou and Seth Rogen. The protagonist of the movie is named Brit Reid and the role is played by Seth Rogen. Everyone knows him as the The Daily Sentinel publisher. However, when the moon comes out he assumes a different role. He becomes a masked fighter who guards the lives of the residents and punishes the miscreants. It has certain similarities with the Batman series. He is assisted by Kato.

The Green Hornet has been directed by Michel Gondry. It will be released both in 2D and 3D format in January next year. Seth Rogen plays the role of the son of a millionaire and his carefree lifestyle comes to a halt after his father passes away under mysterious circumstances. He teams up with Kato who was his father’s employee. Brit Reid decides to fight crime thereafter. They pretend to be criminals to get closer to crime circles in the city. They use The Black Beauty, an indestructible car which helps them in their task.

The film’s first trailer has got mixed reviews from the film industry veterans. They are not much hopeful about the movie as there is nothing exceptional about the storyline. The action sequences shown in the trailer that is less than 3 minutes long are good but without a solid plot such movies do not succeed at the box office.
