London, Aug 18 (IANS) American rock band Green Day has penned a moving tribute song in honour of late singer Amy Winehouse.
Winehouse was found dead in her home July 23, and the “American Idiot” rockers decided to honour her with an acoustic ballad titled “Amy”.
The band unveiled the song at a surprise concert last week in California, reports dailystar.co.uk.
The song features the opening lines: “Amy, is your heart singing out of tune/ Are your eyes just singing the blues/ Dirty records from another time/ Some blood stains on your shoes.”
