Greaseman, 58 years old radio, television and movie personality is really dead or it is just a hoax. No further details from news sources about the cause of death.

DCRTVer tells DCRTV (DC radio veteranon) which refers to information from DC101, a commercial radio station in Washington, D.C that;

“Grease is dead according to DC101. Roche just went on the air at 5:24 PM and announced it. Unbelievable. Words cannot express this fan’s loss. To all the haters out there.”

Similarly, a video at Youtube.com posted on 22 Sep:
“The Greaseman Remembered.” And “Doug ‘The Greaseman’ Tracht… 1950-2008.”

Regarding Wikipedia entry, said Tracht’s mysterious demise as occurring on September 23, 2008. But then the profile was updated later in the evening which the “death” was removed from profile.

Doug “The Greaseman” Tracht was born August 1, 1950. He is well known as a radio, television and movie personality for his morning show on WWDC-FM in Washington, D.C. during the 1980s where he took over the morning drive time slot from Howard Stern and his controversial comments made on that show.

Since there have been no confirmations by the mainstream media, the fans hope this to be just a hoax.
