Aug 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 32 year old grandson of the legendary Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra III was taken to an emergency room in Southern California on Monday after swallowing too many pills in what most are calling a suicide attempt. ‘People’ magazine was able to make contact with a woman in the hospital room who called herself “Aunt Dorothy”.

Aunt Dorothy confirmed that Sinatra was indeed in the Downey Regional Medical Center and added, “He’s doing okay. He had a big setback. Let’s just say it’s very similar to what his grandfather went through with Ava Gardner. He’s been having a very tough time. He’s doing better now. We think he’ll pull through.”

The first responders on the scene after a 911 call found Sinatra conscious after he had taken too many pills, according to ‘TMZ’. It has not been confirmed that this was a suicide attempt by Sinatra, who has always tried to stay away from the notoriety that his name brings.

When asked if this were indeed an overdose, Aunt Dorothy said, “I can’t go into that. But he’s had a real setback. We’re all praying for him.” When asked if it were a suicide attempt, Aunt Dorothy simply repeated, “It’s just like what happened with his grandfather and Ava Gardner.”

Frank Sinatra, known as ‘Ol Blue Eyes’ made headlines and gained the condemnation of the Roman Catholic Church when he left his wife and kids, a son Frank Jr and two daughters, Nancy and Tina, for the sex symbol/actress Eve Gardner. Sinatra and Gardner were married for 6 years from 51 to 57, and were said to have fought often, as he was bitterly jealous of his wife and her other lovers.
