Grand Ole Opry Restores Back To Glory With “Country Comes Home”

grand-oleSep 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville, which was almost washed away by the floods about six months ago, has reopened on Sep 28, after almost five long months of repair and renovation. The renovated institution which boasts for conducting the world’s longest running live radio program, has resume its glory today, with some celebrated performances from country singers Keith Urban and Brad Paisley.

“Country Comes Home” as the show has been named, has also invited other singers like Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Jimmy Dickens, race Adkins, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, The Charlie Daniels Band, Blake Shelton, Del McCoury, Montgomery Gentry, and Keith Urban. The show has focused completely on country music, considering the long legacy of this genre in the history of this famous music institution. The program will be quite a high profile one and will be aired live on September 28 at 9pm ET on GAC. It can also be viewed in pry.com and GACTV.com. Martina McBride, who has been a member of this organization since 1995, will be performing with her hit country songs like “I Love You,” “Blessed,” “A Broken Wing,” “Blessed,” and “Anyway,”.

The flood in Nashville, early this May, destroyed this place completely. “Circle of wood,” as it is popularly called, which is a 6-foot circle derived from oak, Opry stage has witnessed the performances of country legends like Hank Williams and Patsy Cline, has gone through tremendous effort, in order to bring it back to the former glory. The celebration marks the survival and rich legacy of this stage, which is invincible by any other forces except music. Josh Turner said that is show cannot be an ordinary one, it is going to be more meaningful and one for the ages.
