Grand Ole Opry House reopens after flood attack in May

Sep 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The popular Grand Ole Opry House was reopened for business after suffering from floods almost five months ago. Lots of country music legends and musicians performed at the famous Nashville Tennessee performance stage.

The first performance was conducted by Brad Paisley and Little Jimmy Dickens while playing Will The Circle be Unbroken to show the importance of the Grand Ole Opry radio show, which been airing for the past 85 years and didn’t even take a break while the Opry House was being reconstructed. Charlie Daniels, Martina McBride, Keith Urban and a host of other country musicians couldn’t control themselves while the song was being performed and had to join the pair on stage.

Trace Atkins stated in an interview with Amber Lyon of the CNN that he was glad that they could now continue with their performances. He also stated his belief that the Grand Ole Opry House will be around forever.

The venue was a victim of major flooding in May, which caused damage to performance equipments, old tapes, etc. at country music’s favorite home in the US.

The whole property has now been redeveloped as well as the Gaylord Opryland Resort next door. The hotel will also reopen for business on November 15.
