Govinda, Sanjay Dutt back as a team (Snippets)May 31st, 2008 - 11:06 am ICT by admin
New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Govinda and Sanjay Dutt - the hit pair of “Haseena Maan Jaayegi”, “Jodi No.1″ and “Ek Aur Ek Gyarah” - team up again to tickle the funny bones of fans. The two stars are set to feature in one of Subhash Ghai’s forthcoming projects to be directed by debutant Hadi Ali Abrar.
While Sanjay is relieved after his marriage with Manyata was pronounced legal Wednesday, Govinda has his kitty full with various films.
He has Kumar Mangat’s “Money Hai Toh Honey Hai”, Sunil Shetty’s “Loot”, Ravi Chopra’s “Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai”, Jagmohan Mundra’s next and also an untitled film by Rumi Jaffrey.
However, the female lead of the film has not yet been decided.
Sikander gets friendly with Vijay Mallya
Newcomer Sikander Kher, who debuted with the just released “Woodstock Villa”, is on a relationship-building spree. He hit it off instantly with business tycoon Vijay Mallya during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Bangalore.
Apparently, both of them are avid cricket buffs and had a wonderful time together. He also caught up with Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia and Katrina Kaif, who are also associated with the IPL matches.
In fact, they became so close that Mallya even invited Sikander to join the gang in his private jet on their way back to Mumbai. Sikander, of course, didn’t refuse.
Sikander had primarily flown to Bangalore to promote his film but his companions couldn’t locate him after a while. Little did they know that the actor had already reached Mumbai in Mallya’s private jet!
Even ‘Mughals’ are turning vegetarians
The cast and crew of romantic comedy “Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam” turned vegetarian while shooting the film.
It all started when Rahul Bose, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat learnt that producer Ratan Jain was vegetarian and did not like non-vegetarian dishes being ordered on the sets.
The actors respected Jain’s feelings and turned vegetarian themselves. When the unit members learnt about it, they cooperated too.
Sanjay Chhel and Ratan Jain, who are strict vegetarians, still haven’t got over the sensitivity the cast and crew displayed on the sets of the film.
Animal rights activists must be smiling!
