Google Chrome is giving Firefox a tough compition.

September 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): A recent web based survey revealed that most web users prefer to use Chrome over Mozilla Firefox. This news might come as a shock to some of the ardent Mozilla Firefox fans out there. Mozilla helped the Web user break away from the oppressive domination of Internet explorer, thus it enjoys a special corner in their heart. Chrome on the other hand is like the new kid on the block who has redefined the way people browse the internet.
While Firefox has all the add-ons and extensions, Chrome relies on a more streamlined approach. Chrome has a limited number of extensions but they are very user friendly and you do not need to restart your browser in order to use a certain extension.
The Google Chrome developers also came across this brilliant idea to run each tab as an individual process. This means that even if one of your tabs crash, your browser will still keep running as usual. Right now Chrome is the only browser in the market that has a fast release cycle. The Chrome developers release new updates and features as soon as they are ready, which means users do not have to use Beta Versions to use new features in the browser. Plus the learning curve is less steep for Chrome when compared to Firefox.
Although the battle for Power users has been won by Chrome, the war still continues and Mozilla Firefox might just make a comeback.
