Gomez’s obsessive fan given restraining order
January 8th, 2012 - 4:40 am ICT by IANSLondon, Jan 8 (IANS) Singer-actress Selena Gomez has been granted a three-year restraining order against a man accused of stalking her.
Thomas Brodnicki was temporarily ordered to stay away from Gomez, and lawyers for the 19-year-old star returned to a Los Angeles court in November in a bid to extend the ban for three years.
Dailystar.co.uk reports that stalking charges against Brodnicki were dismissed after a judge ruled there was not sufficient evidence that he intended to carry out a threat to kill Gomez.
After he failed to show up at a hearing in November, judge William D. Stewart awarded Gomez a 36-month protection order.
