Feb 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to the reports, Academy Award winning actress Goldie Hawn, who shot to fame after delivering outstanding performance in movies like “Cactus Flower”, “Death Becomes Her”, “First Wives Club” etc., is planning to open up a Buddhist school in UK. Sources reveal that the “Death Becomes Her” actress is currently having prolonged discussions with the British Conservative Party to establish a Buddhist school in the nation.
Apparently, Goldie Hawn has established an educational foundation called “The Hawn Foundation” in the States. The institution is known for teaching children about Buddhist techniques and philosophies regarding “mindfulness training”. As per the reports, the training helps the younger lot of the society to build themselves up emotionally and socially. It also encourages one to delve deep into social consciousness. According to the actress, the “class room” based educational system is hampering a child’s progress in the modern society as an individual. The actress says that the implementation of social and emotional learning techniques will evidently help a child to grow up as a worthy individual.
Sources reveal that the 64 year old actress was approached by the Conservative party so that she can implement her methodologies to the already mechanical education system, in case the latter comes into power. It is quite evident that the Conservative Party will implement certain noticeable changes in the educational policies, only if they are elected. However, the proposed changes will certainly bring freshness to the already stagnant educational system which is bogged down by books and class room lectures that affects almost all students.
