Jan 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After Ricky Gervais was done hosting the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night on NBC, it seems he is DONE hosting the Golden Globes…period. Even the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Phillip Berk stated that Gervais was out of line when it came to the jokes which the British comedian made about the actors and actresses which he was hired to introduce.

Berk told the Hollywood Reporter, “He definitely crossed the line. And some of the things were totally unacceptable. But that’s Ricky. Any of the references to individuals is certainly not something the Hollywood Foreign Press condones.”

Those jokes were even about Berk as well, when he introduced the man. “I just had to help him off the toilet and pop his teeth in,” Gervais laughed as Berk took the stage. Although it is normal for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is made up of a group of freelance writers who determine the Golden Globes, to approve of the host’s scripts, before the award show, Berk said that is simply not how Gervais works.

During a brief interview with TMZ, Gervais let it be known that this was his last hosting gig for the Golden Globes. “It doesn’t really matter because I’m not going to do it anyway. I said I wouldn’t do it a second time but I think twice is enough.”
