London, Sep 7 (IANS) Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg took her mind off her ailing mother with a shopping spree at the weekend, spending as much as $5,000 at the NBA store in New York.
The actress had to rush back home last month after her mother Emma had a stroke. But Goldberg took time out to indulge in some retail therapy with a group of young relatives at the basketball goods outlet on Fifth Avenue and blew $2,300 only on a life-size photograph of hoop-shooting hero Michael Jordan, reports imdb.com.
