Go-Go Cancel Tour After Guitarist’s Fall

goJune 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The All-female American rock band Go-Go has reportedly canceled its scheduled summer farewell tour after its rhythm guitarist Jane Wiedlin had a fatal fall from a height of 20-foot.

The canceled programs include the July 7 Lilith Fair performance in San Diego as well. According to reports all those fans who have bought tickets to witness the iconic band perform will get a refund of their ticket. However, the whole affair had disappointed the fans of Go-Go who were looking forward to the tour that was to start next month.

Jane Wiedlin fell from a mountain near her Northern California home. The guitarist got badly injured due to the fall and is scheduled to undergo an ACL replacement surgery on her knee. Doctors have reportedly said that she would need a year to recover fully from her surgery which means that the guitarist would not be able to join the band for a year. Jane Wiedlin announced this sad news recently on her website.

The band went on to announce their cancellation of the tour in their official website. It said that the band is hoping to reschedule its farewell tour once their band member Jane Wiedlin is back. It also the maintained that the band is “heartbroken” with the present circumstances adding at the same time that they hope that fans will send their wishes for Jane Wiedlin for her speedy recovery.

Reports claim that a large number of tickets of the tour were sold and that the tickets of Go-Go’s Dallas Concert were already on their way to get over.
