Glenn Beck Has Emergency Appendicitis Surgery, Sidelined For This Week

beckNov. 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Beck has been sidelined for all his shows this week, owing to an emergency appendicitis surgery. He suffered an appendicitis attack during his radio show and had to be taken away. According to a Fox News spokesperson, he had to be operated on immediately. The spokesperson said that a full recovery is expected soon.

Glenn had left the show midway, complaining that he was feeling ill. It happened quite unexpectedly and had to be rushed to the hospital where the doctors performed an emergency surgery on him. Reports came later that said that the surgery went well. There were no complications and he is expected to make full recovery. The name of the hospital has not been disclosed to the public. The President of Mercury Radio, Christopher Balfe, said on air after Beck had left the show that he was having his appendicitis removed. He also joked that Beck had asked the surgeons in the hospital before being operated upon to draw the procedure on the board and explain it to him.

The slot on Fox News that is hosted by Beck at 5 in the afternoon was filled in by Judge Andrew Napolitano. Beck would not be appearing on any of his shows for the rest of the week as he would has been ordered complete rest to help with his quick recuperation. His shows would not go temporarily off air though. They would be hosted by others. Beck is 45 years old and has been touted as the new Oprah, based on his popularity and the thrills that he brings on in his shows.
