Obama 2008Washington, June 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The radio jockeys who often mock the popular political personalities in their shows to entertain the listeners and give mileage to the radio stations need to consider where they should stop. At least that is what the popular radio host Glenn Beck learnt the hard way. He did a spoof on US President Barack Obama and his 11 year old daughter Malia Obama which left the radio network red faced and he started receiving public outbursts of anger. He spoofed the conversation between the US president and her daughter in his show with the accompaniment of a co host. He realized that he had gone too far and apologized later but that was not enough. It is quite ironical that the host himself said a few weeks back that the children of the politicians should not be dragged into political debates.

Just a few days back the USA president shared with the media how his family is concerned over the continuing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He said what his daughter had asked him. The topic was picked up by the radio host and he added a sarcastic and abominable tone to it which the listeners found repulsive. The host also included a racial joke in his show that the listeners found to be quite insulting. Speculations are doing the round that it may put Fox news in serious trouble.

A number of listeners who listened to that program posted their comments on several social networking sites and said that Glen Beck had forgotten where he should have stopped. The mimicry of the president is not that objectionable compared to including his young daughter who is a school going kid.
