Washington DC, May 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Beck has been criticized a lot for being the spokesperson for investing in gold, and also for having ties with ‘Goldline Inc.’ As the Goldline is the major sponsor of Glenn Beck’s radio show, so Glenn is often heard preaching on his show about the advantages of investing in gold, in these economic times.

Rep. Anthony Weiner was the one who brought Glenn Beck in the spotlight over his controversial association with Goldline. A release from his office slammed both Glenn Beck and Goldline for their “aggressive sales tactics, conservative spokespeople and rhetoric to sell over-priced gold coins to unsuspecting consumers.” He also directly pointed fingers at Glenn and other notable show hosts who dupe their unsuspecting audience into buying gold at high priced rates. He didn’t mince words and directly mentioned Mark Levin and Fred Thompson of using “their shows to prey on the public’s fears of inflation and socialist takeovers while actively promoting the purchase of gold coins as insurance against this purported government overreach. Simply put, Goldline is little more than a gold peddler posing as an investment advisor, an unfortunate byproduct of the Tea Party movement.” Besides them, he also mentioned Fred Thompson, Dennis Miller, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larson, Michael Smerconish, Monica Crowley and Mike Huckabee.
