beck2 Washington DC, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Glenn Beck has apologized to President Barack Obama and his 11 year old daughter Malia Obama, whom he made fun of. It ought to be mentioned that Glenn Beck poked fun at the Obama’s in a recent show over the topic of the oil spill. There was a news conference on the subject of the oil spill and Barack Obama had said that his daughter had asked him, “Daddy? Daddy? Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?” Later Glenn Beck and Pat Gray carried the conversation forward on their show and both of them imitated the father-daughter duo. To the innocent query of a little girl, Gray imitating Barack Obama said that, “Honey, not yet… Not time yet, honey. Hasn’t done enough damage.”

After the telecast of the show, there was a big hue and cry over Beck’s poor taste, in involving a little child in the political debate. Glenn also realized his folly and said that he was so carried away that he forgot one of his own rules, about leaving children out of political debates. He said that, “In discussing how President Obama uses children to shield himself from criticism, I broke my own rule about leaving kids out of political debates,” the talk show host said in a statement. “The children of public figures should be left on the sidelines. It was a stupid mistake, and I apologize — and as a dad I should have known better.”
