Sep 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Glee” Britney Spears episode, did not turn out to be as much exciting as the viewers anticipated it to be. After the show was aired on Fox Chanel, most of the “Glee” fans were rather disappointed with way, the Britney Spears “Gimmick” was incorporated in the show.

The show took off when the “Glee” club decided to incorporate some Britney Spears songs in their assembly performance. Much surprisingly, it was only Brittany, whose name incidentally happened to be Brittany S. Pears, protested against it, because of the new “nick name-sake” she has earned. The Episode took the real turn, when Emma’s new boyfriend Dr. Carl Howell, who happened to be an anesthesia happy dentist, was brought to the show, to treat the pathetic dental conditions of the “Glee” children. He was there to give the “glee” club members a quick dental check up, and some of the characters like, Brittany, Rachel and Artie got the “Britney Hallucination”, after they were induced with some anesthetic drugs by Carl. The songs of Britney Spears and the singer herself, were incorporated in the show, simply as a result of their hallucination under the impact of anesthesia.

Brittany S. Pears, who spent most of the time sitting in Carl Howell’s chair, was actually not a Britney Spears fan However, when the doctor played the pop stars’ songs in his office, the blond hallucinates Britney in the chair and replaces herself in the singer’s place for all her hit numbers like, “Toxic”, “Slave To You”. Her performance as a dummy Britney Spears was impeccable and she did an amazing job. And then came the moment that everyone was waiting for, when Britney Spears gave Brittany Pears a visit in her dreams to hug her. Critics said that the show might have paid a tribute to Britney Spears, but its promotion was over-hyped, considering the little cameo that she made just for the sake of it.
