October 17th, 2011 - 10:27 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Oct 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reality television star Giuliana Rancic has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Though she admitted being nervous regarding the diagnosis, the 36-year-old believes her chance of survival is good.
Fans know the struggle of Rancic to get pregnant. Recently she announced that she was going to have her third in-vitro fertilization procedure. When she showed up for the procedure, Rancic said the doctor demanded a mammogram and it turned out to be positive for breast cancer.
She explained that, “Through my attempt to get pregnant for the third time, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer. It’s been a shock. A lot of people have been asking, we saw that you went and got IVF, are you pregnant? But sadly, we’ve had to put that off.”
She said that when she was first told about the results, she was left in a state of shock. She is scheduled to start treatment next week. She revealed that she will have surgery first and then series of radiation for six weeks.
She thanked GOD for the intervention saying if she had gotten pregnant much earlier, the disease would have been worse than it currently is.
