Feb 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen is denying the reports that she called sunscreen a “poison” while she was busy pushing her own line of skincare ‘Sejaa’. According to ‘People Magazine’, the thirty year old wife of NFL star Tom Brady says she claims she did not utter the quote, “I cannot put this poison on my skin. I do not use anything synthetic.”

Gisele was also said to have stated that she simply does not go outside when the sun is at it’s worst. Cancer experts quickly criticized Gisele for the quote, which would deter people from wearing sunscreen and thus protecting themselves from skin cancer. But Gisele fired back saying that she was misquoted.

Gisele’s rep issued a statement, “They misquoted her due to a language barrier. Gisele would never say not to use sunscreen because she has family members who have had skin cancer. She simply stated that her all natural skincare line does not include an SPF product. She followed that line of questions saying she tried to stay out of the sun when it is the strongest between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. She buys her sunscreen at Whole Foods, so she can find ones that are free of harsh chemicals”.
