Gino D’Acampo cooks in the nude on ‘This Morning’
January 28th, 2011 - 8:22 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Jan 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) TV chef Gino D’Acampo fulfilled his promise to cook naked if his show - ‘This Morning’ won a television award.
The show won a television award which left the chef with the obligation to honor his pledge. He actually tried to do it another way by entering the kitchen with only his apron.
Before he could start off, the show’s co-host., Holly Willoughby reminded him of his promise. When he tried to play down the promise, he was actually ordered to do so because it was his words. Gino had not option but to fulfill it. He took the apron off and worked the rest of the show naked.
After the 34-yaer-old Italian chef took off the apron, Holly mocked: “I think I might’ve lost my appetite!”
Gino was naked during the show but viewers were prevented from seeing something that they wouldn’t have liked. The show’s producers ensured that the kitchen’s worktop was raised by six inches to cover the private parts of Gino.
A spokeswoman later explained that, “The normal height counter would not have covered up Gino’s modesty.”
This Morning won a National Television Award on Wednesday.
