December 22, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Ginnifer Goodwin is the celebrity of HBO’s ‘Big Love’ and of the film, ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’. She has now divulged something that was not known earlier i.e. she has been a member of the Weight Watchers (WW) since the age of 9. She has asserted to the January edition of the Health magazine that she is back in the WW and has lauded it as being an entity that does not exhaust its adherents and does not make them experience misery. She has stated that she had not been so obsessed about her physical robustness when she was evolving as a person in Memphis. She was addicted to deep-fried foodstuffs in her early years. However, she altered her food habits when she entered fourth grade since she was dissatisfied with and embarrassed due to her rotundity.
Goodwin has revealed some fascinating anecdotes such as her tearful reaction on witnessing her Mom prepare and serve green vegetables for her daughter on the first night after Goodwin had registered herself in WW. The vegetables were not deep-fried and, thus, the tears flowed from her eyes. She believed that her Mom desired to starve her girl to demise.
However, a more mature Goodwin now equalizes her diet with intense cardio sessions at her local gym and Ballet tuitions. Goodwin has declared to Health that her ballet coach happened to be a New York City Ballet ballerina, who amazingly perpetrates hybrid Pilates ballet. Goodwin has declared that she does ballet for half an hour and feels reenergized.
Goodwin, the actress, still has issues with her figure at times. However, Goodwin, who is in a romance with actor, Joey Kern, has understood the importance of being content with her body. She has declared that she can consume foodstuffs excessively for six months and acquire weight. However, she has never gone to the stage of self-destruction and sadness.
Goodwin has remarked that her Mom had recommended to her that she respect her body. This recommendation has really assisted Goodwin as she plots a course via Tinsel Town’s daunting standards. Goodwin has uttered that the physiques of Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Biel in Hollywood are worthy of admiration. However, Goodwin has vocalized that she coexists peaceably with her curvaceous body type. She, assisted ably her nifty stylist, is always full of self-belief on the red carpet. She has, however, confessed that she would not sport a bathing suit publicly in the near future.
