Washington, Jan 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) NMA fighting star Gina Carano is currently promoting her movie “Haywire.” The action thriller is set to hit the theaters later this month. The former fighter plays the role of Mallory Kane in the movie. Her character is the main in the movie.

As part of the promotion of the movie, Carano has posed for the magazine GQ. Renowned photographer Carlos Serrao took the pictures which are published in the magazine. Some media reports speculate that the film’s directors used another voice for Carano’s character in the movie.

There are other speculations that a voice technology system was used on the real voice of the actress.

Carano starred in the movie Ring Girls. The movie is based on a real story of five mixed martial art fighters in the United States. The fighters toured the world to get the opportunity to duet with the best Muay Thai fighters. In 2008, Yahoo named Carano fifth on the “Top Ten Influential Women” list.

Carano has revealed in the past that she entered into martial arts on the encouragement of ex boyfriend Kevin Ross. He is a professional Muay Thai fighter.

The movie will be released to the theaters on the 20th of January.
