Gilles Marini’s stars failed to shine in “Dancing with the Stars”May 20th, 2009 - 10:56 pm ICT by GD
Gilles Marini, the French actor and his partner, Cheryl Burke deserved more than a second place in the season finale of the reality show, “Dancing with the Stars”. The duo’s steaming last tango, on the dance floor of the “Dancing with the Stars”, Tuesday night was as good as “good” could get, and surely should have gone on to win the season finale of the show.
But, unfortunately and surprisingly the prize went to the teen gymnast Shawn Johnson, who by coming on top of the season finale proved that “steps” are not the only thing to win the title, but securing the fan votes surely is.
The French actor, Glies Marini was born on 26th January in the year, 1976, in the Alps-Cote-de-Azur, province of France. His father owned a bakery, in which he worked as a baker from the age of 8 before joining the French Army that was then stationed in Paris. It was while he was in Paris that he met the famous photographer, Fred Goudon who introduced Marini to the elusive world of modeling. Later, after doing his share of duties in the French Army, he decided to go to America to make it big in modeling.
Among all the various roles that he has played in films and soap operas, Marini is most famous for portraying the role of Dante in the film, “Sex in the City: The Movie”. Marini is a family man with a son, George and daughter Juliana and wife, Clara.
