November 14, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): 40-year-old Giada De Laurentiis of Food Network has refuted conjecture that she is in a romance with musician John Mayer, conqueror of the Grammy Award previously and who is associated with the hit, ’Your Body Is A Wonderland’. ‘Star’ had mentioned that its ‘source’ had noticed Giada as she was in an affectionate position with Mayer in New York at a hotel there in October. Mayor, whose arms were allegedly around her, was subsequently observed with Giada at Hotel Gansevoort, wherein they supposedly vanished into a suite in concert.

Giada’s spokesperson has lambasted Star, accusing it of being a media organization that has disgustingly relied on incorrect nameless sources for publishing this mendacious story, ostensibly, to entertain its audience.

‘Star’ meanwhile contacted Giada via its correspondent when Giada was co-hosting a charity performance for children’s cancer. Giada, the host of ‘Everyday Italian’, unambiguously rejected interacting with Mayer in New York during the Food and Wine Festival there. Giada, in its place, declared that she never entered Gansevoort Hotel with Mayer.

Giada’s spokesperson has voiced that Giada had bumped into Mayer in 2007 at a benefit. Their relationship is such that Mayer can’t even be referred to as Giada’s social contact. Her representative has denounced ‘Star’ for its baseless spitefulness and stated that there is not even an iota of truthfulness in its report. Her spokesperson has divulged that ‘Star’ should have factually mentioned that Giada was with her spouse, Todd Thompson, and their familial buddies during the weekend in question. Giada has ordered an expression of regret from ‘Star’ and the confession of its error.

Giada has a 2-year-old daughter with Todd, who is the Anthropologie designer. She had vocalized on Wednesday in Twitter that she was devastated on getting to know about the groundless allegations. Mayer’s spokesperson has also labeled these rumors as preposterous.
