Oct. 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Among the various other Ghost movies being shown on television this Halloween ‘Ghost Ship’ remains a very popular one. The movie has been directed by Steve Beck and covers the story of a fictional ship named “Antonia Graza” which is supposedly based on a real ship , the “SS Andrea Doria.” Andrea was an Italian Liner that collided with MS Stockholm in USA and then sank in the year 1956. This film made a total of $ 30, 113, 491 in Us alone. The movie has a star cast of Gabriel Byrne, Emily Browning and Julianna Margulies.

The film did not receive good reviews with a critic saying, “With a plot as creaky as the boat, Ghost ship fails to deliver the scares.” The movie was negatively reviewed by most of the critics. However the movie did have some supporters which said, “A fresh setting for terror shenanigans”, “An adequate horror movie for the Halloween season”, “It’s better than you expect but not as good as you hope.”, and “It must scare the pants of you.” The movie had a budget of $20 million and made a total of more than 68 million dollars.

The plot shows an air force pilot forming a team to investigate a vessel he found on the Bering Sea. While at it, the crew finds another vessel, the Italian ship which was lost years ago. They start salvaging it since it could bring them a fortune. Once they enter the ship, bizarre things start happening, as it houses deadly creatures that go bump in the night as well as the day.
