German Stunt-Man Samuel Koch Injured While Performing Stunt For TV Show “Wetten, Dass?”

kochDec 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was an unfortunate incident when a stunt went wrong in a German TV show when Samuel Koch, a student and stunt jumper suffered a serious injury. The doctors of the Dusseldorf University Clinic said that the injured stunt-man has slowly recovered from coma and now is in a stable condition. Walter Kehr, the spokesman for the ZDF network, which airs the program “Wetten, Dass?” or “I Bet That” told a reputed media source that the 23 year old student is in the hospital suffering a broken neck and he had many blood clots near his brain.

In his act Samuel Koch had to jump over a series of moving cars but unfortunately he got caught by the fourth vehicle, which was driven by his father. The stunt-man was supposed to land on his feet but he accidentally landed with his face-down. After the accident Samuel Koch was lying motionless on the floor and it was then Thomas Gottschalk, the host of the show “Wetten, Dass?” called the doctors for emergency treatment. He was reportedly operated that night at University Hospital in Dusseldorf but the doctors did not divulge any details about him immediately. The television chiefs called off the program just after 25 minutes and Thomas Gottschalk announced that the show has been cancelled owing to the seriousness of the matter.

The host later told a reputed media source that he hopes everything goes well with Samuel Koch. Some sources claim that Samuel Koch was disturbed about something and hence he might have lost his concentration. Teen sensation Justin Bieber and Take That was scheduled to perform in the show. However, later the show organizers canceled all the performances.
