German embassy to organise UAE filmmakers’ visit
January 23rd, 2012 - 12:25 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Jan 22 (IANS/WAM) The Germany embassy in Abu Dhabi will organise a special visit for young filmmakers based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to enable them experience the Berlin Film Festival.
The visit will be organised in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region.
The unique tailor-made visit program will take place Feb 8-19 with the participants being offered an opportunity to visit and experience the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, the Berlinale.
The Berlinale is one of the world’s leading film festivals and most reputable media events and it is considered the largest publicly-attended film festival worldwide.
