Gerard Butler in legal trouble
November 11th, 2010 - 1:36 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Nov 11 (IANS) Scottish actor Gerard Butler is facing a lawsuit over the name of his production company.
The owners of Hollywood firm Evil Twin Prods have sued “The Bounty Hunter” star and his business partner Alan Siegel, who named their company Evil Twins Entertainment, reports imdb.com.
According to the papers filed in the court, Kristen Armfield and Harri Mark of Evil Twin Prods have a registered trademark on Evil Twin and have used the banner since their launch in 1996.
They maintain they have received calls intended for Butler’s Evil Twins since its creation in 2008.
Armfield and Mark are demanding an injunction as well as $2 million in statutory damages for alleged unfair competition.
