July 14, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): One of the most attractive leading actors of Hollywood, Gerald Butler has gone for a mullet, which is one of the much hated trends in men yet. Well, the handsome hunk of Hollywood is not going for a makeover with this new hairstyle; he has donned the look for his upcoming movie Machine Gun Preacher.

Mullet is often termed as an ‘undecided’ because it appears short at the front and sides and from the back, it appears to be long. The Scottish actor is getting the feel of the character with this new haircut and with a get up akin to a biker’s outfit, a leather vest with leather pants and worn out tee.

According to a source, “Butler is playing a biker preacher-defender of Sudanese orphans named Sam Childers. He was shooting a scene in Detroit, Mich, where the biker comes back home and finds his daughter waiting for him with a sign of ‘Welcome Home Daddy’.

It is quite obvious that the new mullet look is far from the real image of the 40 year old Gerald, who is ranked as one of the most eligible men in showbiz. However, Butler has often tried to prove through media that he is not a womanizer in real life and not a big hit with the ladies.

Butler, who is also a trained lawyer and started acting in the mid-1990s. Initially, he did some small roles in Hollywood films like Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). After this, he started getting offers for many other television shows. One of the significant television shows of Gerald is the ‘American miniseries Attila ‘(2001).
