July 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop start George Michael was arrested on Sunday after the police were called the scene where Michael has crashed his SUV into a building. BBC news reported that the 47 year old was arrested and taken into custody on charges of being unfit to drive.

Michael was taken to a police station in north London, and was released after posting bail. He is due to return in August for a court appearance. Police reviewed close circuit television footage of Michael driving his Range Rover right into the Snappy Shots photo shop in Hampstead at 3:30 am, after just leaving the gay pride parade which was held in London.

It is not the first time that the former singer from ‘Wham!’ has been in trouble for driving while intoxicated. As a matter of fact he had just recently gotten his driver’s license back after losing them for two years in 2007 on similar charges. He had smashed into three parked cars, and left the scene.

In February of 2006 Michael was arrested when police found him slumped over his steering wheel in the middle of the road, and three months later he was again discovered, passed out at the wheel. When another driver tried to wake him, he then smashed his car into a divider. In October of 2006, he was found unconscious in his car and was taken to a hospital and later charged with possession of marijuana.

This is the seventh driving related incident for the pop singer. Last year he was arrested for suspicion of DUI when his Range Rover ran into a truck. He has also been arrested in 2008 for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana, but was released with a warning at that time.
