George Michael apologises for radio swearing
December 17th, 2009 - 2:24 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, December 17 (ANI): George Michael recently swore on a radio show, but was quick to apologize.
The singer was speaking on the Chris Evans radio show aired on Radio 2.
Evan inquired why the pop star, who is car fanatic, has never appeared on Top Gear as the “star in a reasonably-priced car”.
Michael replied: “Other than the fact I’d be afraid of coming last in that f****** …”
However, Evans immediately apologized to the listeners and informed Michael there was no delay on the show.
The DJ said: “George is so relaxed and we do apologise for that - we didn’t mean to offend anyone.”
Michael followed up: “I’m sorry everyone”.
“I sincerely apologise. I use that word far too readily. It’s because I know you so well, Chris,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying later in the show.
Evans signed off with: “Once again we apologise for some colourful language.”
Also, a BBC spokesman clarified: “In line with BBC policy, apologies were immediately made and both George and Chris apologised again later in the show.” (ANI)
